The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh has a 50-year history of working with Indonesia on plant systematics and conservation.

We are partners on a tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding including the Research Centre for Biology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and The Center for Plant Conservation, Bogor Botanic Gardens, signed in 2014.

RBGE staff are actively collaborating with the following Institutes and Organisations in Indonesia: Kebun Raya Bogor, Herbarium Bogoriense, Samarinda Forestry Department, Manokwari Forest Research Institute, Manado Forest Research Institute, Andalas University, Fauna and Flora International-Indonesia.
